Germany and the euro crisis

Germany makes lots of profit out of the crisis. While european countrys like Italy and Greece are in a crisis, german firms and even the state still makes lots of profit. And thats because now people and the banks dont put their money in countrys like Spain or Greece, Germany became a safe place to put money in. In the picture you can see the euro sign in front of the european central bank in frankfurt.

German import and export:

As you can see on the graph, the blue one is for the import and the green one is for the export which means, because the green one is bigger than the blue one, Germany is making profit because they sell more things to other countrys than they have to buy.

Oktoberfest

The 178 Oktoberfest was this year. It was celebrated from the 17th September until the 3rd October. Oktoberfest is a german tradition and many people visit germany at this time to come and celebrate this festival! It is one of the biggest public festivals in the world. It is celebrated annual since 1810. In this year about seven million people visited the festival. The festival takes place in Munich which is in a part of germany called Bavaria. For the festival the brewerys in munich brew a special beer which is called Wiesn-Märzen, with more original wort but with a higher alcohol concentration aswell.

The women normally wear a Dirndl which is a special type of dress and the men wear a costume and leather pants. For women it is really important on which side they wear their bow: Left means you are single, right means you are married, in front means youre a virgin and in the back means you are either a waitress or a widow woman. So be careful!
